Volunteers everywhere have an important and positive role to play in society and this is clearly borne out in the role they play in the Irish Tourist Assistance Service. The Service has a huge positive effect on victimised tourists that can be attributed to the expertise and dedication of staff and volunteers.

We are looking for people who:

• Have a positive outlook
• Are good listeners
• Can interact with people from all cultural backgrounds
• Have good organisational and problem solving skills
• Have a professional attitude
• Travel experience and a foreign language would be beneficial.

Volunteers gain a huge sense of achievement by seeing at first hand the positive effect their support and assistance has on tourist victims of crime.

You will be required to complete an initial mandatory training day.

The Service is looking for an initial commitment of two to three hours per week.

Anyone over 18 can volunteer.
